CD-ED’s Digital Arts Technology Training Institute (DArTT) is launching a Second Life campus! We’re excited about our first custom-designed campus building, constructed by DArTT instructor Evan Smith, and we can’t wait for you to come and visit.
To celebrate, the entire Digital Arts instructional staff and several Admissions representatives will be available for discussion at our Grand Opening, on Thursday, May 3, 2007, from 6pm to 8pm, Atlantic Standard Time. We’ll have slideshows of our students’ work, free giveaways, information about our diploma programs, and maybe a few surprises.

The Centre for Distance Education's New Wave Learning Contest was featured on CTV's Connected Calendar. Viewers were engaged with interactive trivia questions pertaining to the school. Those with correct answers earned a ballot to enter the contest.

CDED Affiliated with CPA

The Centre for Distance Education is now affiliated with the Canadian Payroll Association as an Approved Course Provider. This affiliation is a definite asset to the school and our students. With this affiliation, students who have completed our Introductory Accounting Module (Manual Accounting) will be given a credit towards the CPA designation.
CPA hopefuls must complete core payroll modules, along with several business related modules such as Introductory Accounting, Organizational Behaviour, and so on, in order to earn the CPA designation. The CPA organization teaches only the payroll components – they rely on other educational institutions, such as the Centre for Distance Education, to deliver the remaining curriculum.

CD-ED’s longstanding reputation for quality online education is a solid foundation for a breakthrough in the future of arts and technology training.
