We'll be featuring a different student profile here periodically in the hopes of giving prospective students a feel of what it's like to be a student at DArTT.
Bertha
Q. What drew you to the courses at DArTT?

A. I've always wanted to take a course through DArTT so when I had the chance to do it I went for it. And I am so glad that I have. I've seen many advertisements and had friends that came here also. It was mostly my friends that persuaded me to do this.

Q. Tell me how the experience of taking a home-study course from DArTT was for you.

A. The experience of taking the home-study course was wonderful, everybody made me feel great, and it was a chance to fill my life again with happiness.

Q. Have you taken other post-secondary schooling? Was this more or less difficult, or just different from in-class learning?

A. This was my first schooling and I would do it all over again if I could; it was the best experience I ever had. It was hard at first and I almost gave up, but with the help of instructors I kept going and I'm glad I have.

Q. How do you schedule your study time?

A. I choose my time when I find myself not so busy during the day, as I live alone. I tend to read a lot at night.

Q. What did you like best about DArTT?

A. The best part of all that I liked with DArTT was all the instructors, and meeting new people to talk to.

Q. Just one more question. Do you have any advice for students taking a course from DArTT?

A. If you have a chance in life and you want to meet your goal, go for it - as I have had the most wonderful chance given to me here. I advise anyone to do the same. If you have the heart to do it, go for what you want - it's a great feeling to know that you'll get your diploma. If you have a hard time studying, just put the book down and pick another time to start again.
